A message from President Wanda Martin

Greetings fellow Carolinas Health Ministry Partnership members!

I pray that you are enjoying the warm spring days and looking forward to summer vacations. It’s wonderful that we can now spend time with our families and love ones we missed during this past year of COVID -19! Truly, 2020 was a year of lessons learned for the entire world. COVID-19 tested our faith, relationships, families, and friends. We had to refocus priorities, plow through sadness, and celebrate triumphs. Health care systems and Public Health leaders were challenged beyond limits. But I am so proud we were leaders when our communities needed us the most.

I want to personally say “Thank You” for all you did during the pandemic and every day for our profession. Health care providers showed compassion, love, strength, passion, dignity, and loyalty to the profession at work, home and to our communities as we struggled to keep our communities safe. Many of you took on different roles and found strength in each other.

Carolinas Health Ministry is financially sound. Your Board membership weathered the pandemic and are working hard to continue to meet our vision and mission.

We didn’t meet in person but had our Annual membership meeting, elected several board members, had a very successful virtual educational offering April 2021, and made a generous donation to Feeding the Carolinas (serving North and South Carolina).

As your president I am thrilled to represent you and continue the work of the partnership. To accomplish our vision and mission I will need each of you working with the board to accomplish our goals. With that said I charge each member of CHMP to recruit one new or inactive member to join our partnership!

Please feel free to contact me or any board member if you have questions!
